Facilitation
I facilitate processes that bring together a variety of perspectives. Whether it’s a strategy workshop, an annual retreat, or a panel discussion—for organizations, networks, or in public settings—facilitation creates the framework within which people can think, decide, and shape the future together. My focus is on genuine participation: designing processes so that participation isn’t just an option, but can have a real impact.
My services include:
Facilitation in the context of organizational and strategic development
Facilitation of workshops, meetings, and team retreats
Moderation of conferences, panels, and discussion forums—particularly on the topics of AI, digitalization, sustainability, and education
Depending on your needs, I not only facilitate the event itself, but also assist with developing an appropriate process design, selecting suitable methods, and handling documentation and follow-up.

Organizational & Strategic Development

My Approach
1. Understanding – What is the real purpose of this event?
Before I suggest a format, I clarify: What is the goal? Who is involved—and what is their perspective? What needs to come out of it—a decision, a shared vision, or renewed energy? The initial consultation is free and usually lasts 45–60 minutes.
2. Design – Process design tailored to the occasion
I develop a process design that suits your group, your topic, and your schedule. Sometimes a clear agenda with defined decision points is needed; other times, open-ended sessions are best; and sometimes a mix of both works best. I explain what I’m suggesting and why—and adapt it as needed.
3. Preparation – So that everything runs smoothly on the day
Effective moderation doesn’t start on the day of the event. I coordinate with clients and, if applicable, speakers in advance, prepare materials, and consider the dynamics that might arise. The better the preparation, the more room there is for the unexpected.
4. Facilitation – Engaging, flexible, clear
On the day of the event, I set the framework without dominating it. I listen, provide structure, rein things in, and open things up—whatever the moment calls for. And I keep the goal in mind, even if the discussion takes a different turn.
5. Follow-up – What remains, and what comes of it?
Upon request, I document the results and next steps, and help you apply what we’ve learned to your daily routine. After all, a good workshop isn’t an end in itself—it’s meant to set things in motion.
Key Areas of Focus
I facilitate a wide range of events—from internal team sessions to public discussions. I am particularly familiar with topics at the intersection of organization, technology, and social change.
Artificial Intelligence & Digitalization: How is AI changing work, decision-making, and organizations—and how can we facilitate discussions on these topics that don’t get bogged down in buzzwords?
Sustainability & Transformation: Strategic realignment, sustainability processes, social responsibility—issues that require engagement.
Education & Learning: Learning formats, knowledge transfer, participatory educational processes—often at the intersection of academia and practice.
NGOs & nonprofit organizations: stakeholder dialogues, campaign planning, and internal strategic processes that incorporate a wide range of perspectives.
FAQ
Do you also host events in English?
Do you also host events remotely or in a hybrid format?
Yes. I facilitate sessions entirely remotely—using digital tools like Miro —as well as in a hybrid format, meaning with participants both on-site and online. Especially with hybrid sessions, it’s worth planning the design very carefully.
At what group size does it make sense to hire an outside facilitator?
Even in small groups, having an outside facilitator can lighten the load, especially when the topic is complex, there are conflicts in the room, or decisions need to be made. For large group settings of 30 people or more, I bring the necessary methodological expertise to the table and work as part of a team with colleagues.
Yes, I facilitate in German and English, as well as in mixed-language settings. In many organizations, switching between languages is a daily occurrence. I take this into account when planning and conducting sessions.
DO YOU ALSO DO GRAPHIC RECORDING WHILE YOU'RE MODERATING?
I also really enjoy using visual aids when facilitating, such as flipcharts, templates, and facilitation boards. However, graphic recording requires 100% focus on drawing, so I like to bring in colleagues to help with that.
How far in advance should I make a reservation?
For larger events or multi-day programs, ideally 4–6 weeks in advance. For smaller workshops, we can sometimes accommodate shorter notice—just let us know, and we’ll work with you to see what’s possible.
