About Me

Hey there!

My name is Anna Lena, and I prefer to be on a first-name basis. I’m a consultant, facilitator, and visualization expert. A woman of conviction. A tamer of complexity. I’ve been helping organizations navigate change for over fifteen years. I trained at one of the most unusual business schools in the world. And I’m always seen with a pen in my hand.

What I've done so far

Built up a creative agency and then let it go. Helped shape the field of graphic recording in Germany back when no one knew what it was. Spent four years at AlgorithmWatch investigating how algorithms shape our world. Founded an association for democracy. Launched a Germany-wide network for visualization. Attended nearly every re:publica (and have been co-curating it for the past few years).

What I Believe In

That change can be shaped. That visible things are easier to negotiate. That effective processes achieve more than good advice.

What I do

What I mean is: creating spaces where something can take shape. Asking questions that challenge the old and open the door to the new. Making the complex accessible without oversimplifying it.
